Alt-Lite
"Envy plus rhetoric equals social justice."
Alt-Lite, a portmanteau of " Alt-Right" and "Lite" is a broad ideological label describing a set of movements which portray relatively
moderate views while still maintaining a right-wing opposition to mainstream politics. It is economically center-right to far-right, civically variable and culturally center-right to far-right.
Alt-Lites are generally distinguished by having a much lower interest in the issues of race as compared to Alt-Rights, usually favoring some form of Civic Nationalism or
Cultural Nationalism. Instead, Alt-Lite is usually much more concerned with over the issues of culture, economics and what is being pushed by the state.
They are found in the right side of the Political Compass, with the overwhelming majority of them being in the Authoritarian and
Right Unity side, with a few on the
Libertarian side.
History
The term "Alt-Lite" began to be used around 2017, mostly following the aftermath of the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, in reference to those who had criticized the rally and tried to disassociate themselves from it. However, people within the western online right-wing held to similar views since long before then. The people who in 2017 would be associated with the Alt-Lite were associated with the 'Gamergate' controversy in 2014.
Beliefs
People associated with the alt-lite have distanced themselves from the
ethnic nationalism of the
alt-right. As with the
alt-right, the
alt-lite commonly shows broad support for
Donald Trump and
cultural nationalism. Many in the
alt-lite criticize or oppose political correctness,
Islam,
feminism (sometimes restricted to the fourth wave),
LGBT rights,
welfare and
illegal immigration. It has been described as a "
misogynistic" and "
xenophobic" movement by the
Anti-Defamation League. The alt-lite has also been described as a modern form of
National Liberalism.
Alt-right figures have described
Breitbart News and
Steve Bannon as "alt-lite" for presenting a diluted form of alt-right ideas.
Wired has referred to the alt-lite as "
the alt-right's relatively mild-mannered sibling".
Variants
Alt-Lite Socialism
Alt-Lite Socialism is the left-wing version of the
alt-lite movement that is found within
conservative socialist circles. It supports the ideas of the alt-lite movement, but thinks that
capitalism is counter-intuitive towards its goals of fighting off degeneracy caused by
progressive ideals, it sees
socialism as a better way of achieving this. It's critical of the
New Left and
wokeness present within modern day socialist circles in the West. Although, just like members of the alt-lite movement, alt-lite socialists can also be found buying into socially conservative idpol, despite criticising the New Left and its obsession over identity. This group also overlaps with the
Old Left movement, since both diverged from the New Left. However, the Old Left is less culture focused than alt-lite socialists.
Anti-SJW
Anti-SJW is an overarching but predominantly capitalist and
conservative ideology in opposition to "
SJWs", "woke culture" and cancel culture. It emerged in mid-2011, when "
SJW" became a derogatory term and meme on
Twitter and KnowYourMeme.
Anti-SJWs are currently on
Twitter,
Reddit, KnowYourMeme and
YouTube; opposing
feminism along with
SJWs' hypersensitivity and generally opposing left-wing ideologies. They oppose gender ideology and the current
LGBTQQIP2SAAONPND+ movement; although some
Anti-SJWs are
LGBT, such as
Blaire White. Some claim that
Anti-SJWs have gotten just as hyped up as the
SJWs, and that a portion of them are sexist and racist.
Anti-SJWs support Elon Musk's purchase of Twitter, and claim that feminists are hypocritical about the world of
Islam. Anti-SJWs are self-proclaimed defenders of free speech
(except on a few occasions) and are in opposition to Progressivism, claiming that it is
SJW.
Bannonism
Bannonism is a culturally right-wing to far-right, economically center-to-center-right ideology based on the views of Steve Bannon, former chairman of Breitbart and chief strategist of Donald Trump. He can be considered as being in between
Alt-Right and
Alt-Lite, as he's more moderate than the former but also more radical than the latter. Other than drawing from standard
right-wing populist rhetoric, he has been influenced by more radical reactionary thinkers such as
Julius Evola,
Aleksandr Dugin, and
Curtis Yarvin.
Bennettism/Liberty Hangoutism
Bennettism/Liberty Hangoutism is the political philosophy of Kaitlin Bennett, aka The Kent State Gun Girl, and Liberty Hangout, a media outlet which until recently self described themselves as being Libertarian. Bennett first gained media attention in 2018 for open carrying an AR-10 on the Kent State campus after graduating. A year later she married her husband
Justin Moldow, the founder of Liberty Hangout. The two of them run Liberty Hangout, which used to describe themselves as a libertarian media outlet, and now describes themselves as a
Conservative media outlet. However many describe it as promoting
Catholic Fascism and
Monarchism. Liberty Hangout are known for their inflammatory tweets such as wanting
Donald Trump to declare himself king,[92]or saying that those who want a separation of church and state are "losers and Satanists."[93] Due to these outrageous tweets some have speculated that their Twitter account is actually a
Satirical account.
Sargonism
Sargonism is a culturally center-right to right-wing, nationalist, civically moderately libertarian and economically center-right ideology based on the views of English political commentator Carl Benjamin, also known as Sargon of Akkad (his YouTube nickname), whose online content is principally against
progressive,
globalist,
feminist,
communist, and
anti-capitalist viewpoints in politics and culture.
Benjamin has previously called himself a "classical liberal", despite his strong support of
conservative and
nationalist movements such as
Brexit, with him being a former member of
UKIP. He has since moved away from using the term to describe himself as has gone on to criticise the doctrine of
liberalism.[94] Benjamin initially also used to identify as a
social liberal, due to his strong support for
socialised healthcare and
welfare, even calling himself
center-left; however, he has since become more economically right-wing, believing that the welfare state should be reduced.

Kiwi Farms Model
The Kiwi Farms Model is an ideology that represents the users of Kiwi Farms, an internet forum dedicated to discussing internet personalities as well as current and past events.
Joshua Moon, also known as "Null," a former
8chan moderator, created Kiwi Farms in February 2013. It was originally known as CWCki Forums, and was created to discuss a frequently trolled
autist artist named Christine Weston Chandler, formerly known as Christopher "Christian" Weston Chandler, or simply "Chris-Chan," who is best known online for creating the infamous webcomic Sonichu. It soon became known as "Kiwi Farms" in 2014. Many people from different backgrounds have threads devoted to them on the website, including
LGBT+ people, disabled people,
"lolcows" (foolish people who don’t understand that their behaviours are amusing to others),
feminists, internet personalities,
journalists, political figures, the
BreadTube community, and people on the
Alt-Right. Many threads on the site consist of and critique
transgender people, who are commonly regarded as being mentally ill by Kiwi Farms users, with the terms "tr**n" and "tr***y" being pejoratively used to describe them. When discussing
transgender people, users frequently refer to them by their "deadname," use their original pronouns, and often accuse transgender females (or "trans-identified males" as they are known as on the site) of being "AGPs" (autogynephilic transsexuals - males, typically heterosexual, who have sexual fantasies over the thought of being a female).
Politically, Kiwi Farms has users with a wide range of political beliefs; however, opposing transgenderism is widely accepted on the website, with TERFs and other
anti-trans figures being highly regarded. Despite having
Alt-Lite viewpoints in general, users have critiqued many
Alt-Lite figures, including
Carl Benjamin and
Jordan Peterson, as well as members of the
Alt-Right, most notably Ethan Ralph and
Nick Fuentes, with allegations of Nick being a closeted
homosexual who has watched
transgender porn.
Seibtism
Seibtism is culturally right-wing and right-libertarian, in which it is based on the political views of political activist and self-styled " anti-Greta" Naomi Seibt. It is based on
Anarcho-Capitalism, especially influenced by
F.A. Hayek, defense of
Direct Democracy, opposition to immigration (what got her into politics), opposition to abortion and maritime rescue and covid denial, especially against the PCR test. One of her most controversial things is her denial of climate change, especially activist
Greta Thunberg, also being against climate protection measures. Along with accusations of her being
Alt-Right, especially for herself declaring a fan of
Stefan Molyneux and her saying in 2019 that
whites come in being oppressed by Jews. She stated that she has the possibility that Planned Parenthood would be trading body parts from aborted fetuses and that she was temporarily convinced that the Wayfair company would offer children on its website, she also had dealings with
QAnon. In 2021, her YouTube account was banned.
Robinsonism
Robinsonism is culturally right-wing and right-unity, in which it is based on the political views of Tommy Robinson, a
English
anti-Islam campaigner, convicted criminal and one of the UK’s most prominent far-right activists. He was a political advisor to former UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader Gerard Batten.
Robinson has been active in far-right politics for many years. He was a member of the British National Party (BNP), a
neo-fascist and
white nationalist political party, from 2004 to 2005. For a short time in 2012, he was joint vice-chairman of the far-right British Freedom Party (BFP). He co-founded the far-right
English Defence League (EDL) in 2009 and led it until 8 October 2013. In 2015, he became involved with the development of Pegida UK, a now-defunct British chapter of the German far-right Pegida. From 2017 to 2018, he wrote and appeared in videos on the Canadian far-right website Rebel News.
Robinson has been convicted for multiple crimes involving violence, stalking, financial and immigration fraud, drug possession, public order offences, and contempt of court. He has served at least four separate prison terms: for assault in 2005, for using false travel documents to enter the United States in 2012, for mortgage fraud in 2014, and 13 months in 2018 for contempt of court after publishing a Facebook Live video of defendants entering a law court (contravening a court order that disallows reporting on such trials while proceedings are ongoing). In August 2018, due to procedural errors, he was released on bail pending a new hearing. In July 2019, he was again found guilty of contempt of court at the retrial and was committed at the Old Bailey to nine months in prison․ Before his sentencing, he appeared on the American far-right website InfoWars to appeal for political asylum in the U.S. He was released from prison on 13 September 2019 after nine weeks.
In July 2021, Robinson was found to have libelled a 15-year-old refugee at a school in Huddersfield and was ordered to pay £100,000 plus legal costs, although he had filed for bankruptcy in March 2021. In October 2021, he was made subject to a five-year stalking order for harassing journalist Lizzie Dearden and her partner. In November 2023, Robinson was charged and bailed under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act, in relation to the March Against Antisemitism. In January 2024, he denied the charge after appearing in court, with a trial in London set for April.
Carlsonism
Carlsonism, also known as Tuckerism, is an AuthUnity variant of Alt-Lite based on the ideology of former
Fox News host, Tucker Carlson. Carlson was the host of Tucker Carlson Tonight, his titular Fox News program, from 2016 to 2023.
A right-wing populist, Carlson supports
economic nationalism and
non-interventionism while opposing
abortion,
feminism,
multiculturalism, the death penalty,
gun control, the scientific consensus on climate change,
COVID-19 restrictions, and
corporatocracy.
Early Media Career
Carlson began his media career in 1990s, initially working as a fact checker for
Policy Review, a journal published by
The Heritage Foundation. He then claimed a role as an opinion writer at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette newspaper before joining
The Weekly Standard news magazine in 1995. Carlson went for a role for the publication after hearing of its founding, fearing being referred to as a wingnut if he instead joined
The American Spectator.
Carlson later worked for CNN from 2000-2005 where he co-hosted The Spin Room and
Crossfire, PBS from 2004-2005 when he ran Tucker Carlson: Unfiltered with the intention of shifting the media outlet to the right, and
MSNBC from 2005-2008 where he hosted his early evening show Tucker (originally titled The Situation With Tucker Carlson) though it got cancelled by the network on March 10, 2008, due to low ratings.
Joining Fox News
In 2009, Carlson joined the conservative news network, Fox News, initially appearing as a frequent guest on the late-night program, Red Eye w/Greg Gutfeld, as well as the All-Star Panel segment of Special Report with Bret Baier in addition to being a substitute host for
Hannity in case of Sean Hannity's absence. He also hosted a special entitled Fighting for Our Children's Minds in September 2010. In April 2013, Carlson replaced
Dave Briggs as a co-host of the early morning weekend program, Fox & Friends Weekend.
Tucker Carlson Tonight
On November 14, 2016, Carlson launched Tucker Carlson Tonight. Replacing On the Record, the premiere episode become the network's most-watched telecast of the year within the time slot, with 3.7 million viewers. By June 2020, it had, after going up and down multiple times, become the highest-rated cable news show in the United States. By October of the same year, the show averaged 5.3 million viewers, the highest of any news cable news program. Following the aftermath of the 2020 Presidential Election, it saw a slight dip in viewership, primarily among 25-54-year-olds. Following the inauguration of
Joe Biden, it reclaimed the lead among the same age group, in addition to being the only cable news program not to see a drop in viewership. In May 2022, it narrowly placed second, slightly trailing
The Five although it retained its lead among viewers aged 25-54.
Departure from Fox News
In April 2023, Carlson was abruptly fired from Fox News in the aftermath of a lawsuit by Dominion Voting Systems against Fox. Carlson was also accused of
misogyny and promoting a hostile work environment, particularly for women. He also sent a
racist text message to one of his producers, writing "It's not how white men fight."[95] This text message ultimately led to Carlson being kicked off the platform. Consequentially, the channel saw its viewership plummet.
Tucker on Twitter
On May 9, 2023, Carlson announced that he would relaunch his show on Twitter. Prior to his announcement, his attorneys accused Fox News executive
Rupert Murdoch, as well as others, of "intentionally" breaking their promises to him in an alleged breach of contract that he aimed to free him from his non-compete clause. Fox News subsequently sent him a cease and desist order after he releases his first episode, which was released on June 6, 2023.
On the episode, Carlson accused Volodymyr Zelensky of persecuting
Christians and called him "sweaty and rat-like"; claimed that the
U.S. Government recovered an extraterrestrial ship; blamed
Ukrainian forces for the destruction of the Kakhovka Dam; argued that the
Black Lives Matter riots were orchestrated by an unknown entity; and promoted conspiracies on the 9/11 attacks.
Political Positions
From the 1980s to the mid-2010s, Carlson supported laissez-faire economics. In 1988 and 2008, he supported
Ron Paul's presidential campaign. In 2004, Carlson stated that he opposed seat belt laws and smoking bans. Since 2018, his economic views became more
populist and began criticizing
Libertarianism.
Carlson opposes abortion, stating that it is the only political issue that he considers non-negotiable. He also opposes
feminism and associated
LGBT+ people with the
political left, where he would later face allegations of
sexism and
homophobia, especially after using
sexist and
homophobic slurs.
Carlson opposes gun control, including the assault weapons ban. He aired segments defending
Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17-year-old who was attacked by 3 protesters, who he shot in self-defence, 2 fatally, in August 2020 in confrontations during the Kenosha unrest after the
police shooting of Jacob Blake, an
African American man. Rittenhouse was later found not guilty on all charges.
Carlson initially aired segments that warned viewers about COVID-19 and allegedly influenced then-president Donald Trump to take the virus more seriously. However, by May 2020, he began to question the severity of the virus and started to oppose COVID-19 restrictions and protocols such as lockdowns, social distancing, and mask mandates. In 2021 and 2022, he cast doubt on the effectiveness of masks and vaccines and blamed
Anthony Fauci for contributing to the creation of the virus. Carlson has touted the anti-parasite medication ivermectin as a possible COVID-19 treatment, though the FDA has warned against its use. He has ridiculed people who wore masks outdoors, calling them "zealots and neurotics", and believed that children wearing masks were child abuse.
In September 2020, around two months before the general election, Carlson told viewers that Democrats were promoting mail-in voting to create uncertainty and warned of alleged voter fraud. After
Joe Biden won the election, Carlson escalated his false allegations of voter fraud. In February 2021, around a month after the January 6 United States Capitol attack, after U.S. attorney general nominee
Merrick Garland pledged at his confirmation hearing to supervise the prosecution of
"white supremacists and others" who participated in the attack, Carlson denied that supremacists were involved. PolitiFact rated his claim false since several rioters are confirmed to have ties with white supremacist groups. In June 2021, Carlson promoted a conspiracy theory that alleged that January 6 storming was a "false flag" FBI operation intended to "suppress political dissent". In February 2022, the
Republican National Committee called the January 6 Capitol attack "legitimate political discourse" and censured then-Representatives
Liz Cheney and
Adam Kinzinger.
Carlson supported Donald Trump's expansion of the Mexico-United States barrier, dictating a well was necessary to "restore sovereignty" to the border. He is a heavy critic of immigration, opposing both illegal and legal immigration. Carlson is critical of
Islam and has hosted guests who do the same.
White grievance politics is a common theme in Carlson's commentary. Some sources such as
CNN and
The Washington Post have accused Carlson of being racist. Carlson has repeatedly denied any accusations of
racism.
In 2019, several days after a mass shooting in El Paso, Texas that resulted in 23 people killed and an additional 23 individuals wounded, which was a committed by an Eco-Fascist who released a Hispanophobic manifesto where he complained of a "Hispanic invasion" as well as the promotion of the
Great Replacement and White Genocide conspiracy theories on
8chan, Carlson dismissed
white supremacy as a "hoax" and "a conspiracy theory used to divide the country and keep a hold on power".[96]
In May 2022, after a mass shooting left 10 people killed and another 3 wounded, in which the shooter cited the
Great Replacement and White Genocide conspiracy theories in a manifesto that blamed
blacks he posted on
4chan, Carlson claimed that he was unfamiliar with the conspiracies, despite previously mentioning them by name on his show and alleged the idea of forced demographic change by
Democrats and "the left" over 400 times on his show.[97]
Personality
He often hangs out with Right-Wing Populism, and was seen storming Capitol Hill with him. He constantly claims that he is not xenophobic, but sometimes he hints at racist comments. He also hates
"SJWs", and thinks they are all
socialists. Has the personality of a right-wing podcaster or a militia member.
Additionally, he acts like a stereotypical 4channer or Xbox Live gamer. He can constantly be seen cracking politically incorrect jokes and trolling cultural leftists. Due to this, he is extremely controversial, and is also the arch nemesis of the mainstream media.
Stylistic Notes
- He gets most of his "news" from right-wing Twitter posts and Reddit pages.
- He loves people like Steve Bannon, Andrew Tate, Pat King, Candace Owens, Ben Shapiro, Gavin McInnes, and he idolizes Jordan B Peterson.
- He never got the vaccine for COVID -19 and usually ignored lockdown rules.
- He supported most of the Trucker Convoy Protesters in Canada.

He understands that a strong sense of shared values and purpose is essential for progress, and he is committed to restoring American pride and patriotism. His vision for America 2.0 begins with a renewed commitment to the values that make our nation great: individual liberty, free enterprise, and American exceptionalism. In addition to restoring American pride and patriotism, Vivek Ramaswamy recognizes the importance of addressing the divisive issues that are plaguing our society. He believes that we must confront the issue of critical race theory and reject the idea that America is inherently racist. Instead, we should celebrate the diversity of our nation and work to create a society that is truly equal and just for all individuals, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Join Vivek in his efforts to promote a unifying vision for America 2.0 that recognizes our history and values while embracing our diversity and striving for a better future for all Americans. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united nation that upholds the principles our country was founded on.

Even if alcohol and cigarettes are worse, that still doesn’t mean that weed should be legal. All you've done by that logic is add to a problem. And saying that it hasn’t killed anyone is to simply ignore all of the deaths caused by people under the influence. It also ignores the volumes of research showing all kinds of long and short term negative health effects. All you’ve done here is rattle off the most cliched possible list of pothead comebacks and they're all either incorrect or irrelevant.
- ↑ 80.0 80.1 80.2 80.3 This is a great move and conservatives who act perplexed at the suggestion that government might have a role in restricting hardcore porn obviously do not understand their own ideology. This is, at the very least, an idea worth discussing.
