Fictional Ideology
"The party would like to remind you this ideology has never existed" - Ingsoc
This article is about a fictional ideology and has no foundation in real life political movements.

"Govenment is founded on property

Property is founded on conquest
Conquest is founded on power

All power is founded on brain and brawn."

Kraterocracy is an off-the-compass AuthRight ideology that believes it is the natural right of the strong to subjugate and tyrannize the weak. While Social Darwinism merely calls for the utter extermination of the weak, Kraterocracy calls for their complete subjugation. The only hope for the weak of achieving an even tolerable existence is to ascend the ranks via brute strength or manipulation. As such, Kraterocracy is highly comparable to an incredibly extreme and physical form of Oligarchy.

Beliefs

Kraterocracy believes in a system where the expression 'might makes right' is applied to governance. A kraterocratic government would be ruled by the strongest in society, most commonly through physical violence. However, a system like this could also be ruled by the most manipulative people as well, with people able to seize power through their abilities as a demagogue, rather than as a fighter. Nonetheless, kratocratic systems are often associated with physical force.

Kraterocrats are also often imperialists, ultranationalists, racists, sexists, or whatever else fits well into their “Might makes Right” mantra.

Real examples of similar systems.

In real life, especially in the modern world, kraterocracy does not tend to proliferate because the apex of a human's innate power is not that great compared to what collective effort can create (no one is strong enough to survive a sniper bullet to the head or to blow up a tank with bare hands, in a nutshell). However, in ancient times kraterocracies did exist.

Sparta

Sparta was an ancient Greek polis. As its mythical creator was considered Lycurgus. There was a caste system, divided into three castes: citizens, free people without civil rights, and slaves. Sparta was ruled by two hereditary kings, that were military commanders and warriors. Decisions were made by the council of elders with 30 members, including 2 kings. Boys from 7 years old were subjected to physical and military training that was intended to create strong warriors. Weak and disabled children were abandoned in mountains or thrown from rocks.

Mongol Empire

Most nomadic cultures focused on strength and combat as religious affairs under Tengri, children were raised as soldiers, horsemen and hunters, born in the saddle, dying in the saddle. When Temujin united the mongols by union or by subjugation (like the Tatars) engaged in conquest of all the steppe, he was proclaimed "Genghis Khan", or universal ruler. Only after his death started the Mongol policy of universal conquest in full, that the world was their domain under Tengri, all rulers of the world were either tributaries or to be wiped off the face of the earth. Despite this, the peak of the Mongol empire was famous for the Pax Mongolica, when it was said a maiden could walk across the entire steppe with a gold plate on her head and come across without getting attacked, robbed or other violence.

Crusades

The bulk of the Crusader force was composed of ambitious knights and nobles trained in combat and command who had in some way been snubbed for the main inheritance of the family, this served as much as a motivator as the promise of Absolution for fighting against the heathens who held Jerusalem and threatened the Byzantine Empire. Under divine right, Crusaders were expected to fight and conquer formerly Christian lands. A major part of the Crusader armies were monastic orders dedicated entirely to the faith and knightly combat. These orders gained lots of holdings and resources as a result of their military prowess. Despite this, the primary purpouse of these military orders was for the defense and well-being of pilgrims travelling to the holy land, the establishment of hospitals and leper camps for the wellbeing of society and protection of holy sites.

Other imperialist nations

Fictional

In fictional settings, kraterocracies are especially viable in a world where superpowers exist, so there actually are people who are strong enough to survive a sniper bullet to the head, blow up a tank with bare hands and enforce their rule on the basis of "I have superpowers and you don't".

Law of the jungle

The Law of the Jungle is a fictional concept from the book The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. This law would be a code of law in a jungle, which would be especially for packs. The laws of the code are made explicit in the poem "The law for the wolves" which has phrases like: "...For the strength of the pack is the wolf, and the strength of the wolf is the pack..." and "...Remember that the wolf is a hunter - go ahead and get your own food...".

Other definitions state what would be said would be the lack of civilized laws and the strongest being able to do what they want, in which the collins dictionary uses the following example sentence: "The law of the jungle demands: kill or be killed."

Warhammer 40k

Warhammer 40k game is about humanity ruled by an absolute doctrine with other cosmic powers and with its own internal conflicts. For millennia, people have held hegemony organized in a big state officially known as the Imperium of Man. Its capital is Earth, known as Holy Terra, which brings together nearly a million inhabited planets and covers the majority of the galaxy. From the very beginning, it has been led by the immortal Emperor, surrounded by a divine cult, whose will is interpreted by the Archlords of Terra. The human state is a dystopia in which xenophobia and human supremacy over other civilizations are mandated, where progress and new mental movements are harshly dealt with, for the fear of mankind deviating from believing in the Emperor's instructions.

Personality and Behaviour

Kraterocracy combines the "might-makes-right" attitude of Social Darwinism, with the imposing, intimidating, and calculating demeanor of Ingsoc. He will not hesitate to punch, fight, and/or utterly obliterate any and all who stand in his way, but usually refrains from doing so for the sake of polite conversation and political subterfuge.

Could also be depicted as the Emperor of Mankind in 40k using a Text-To-Speech device from Bruva Alfabusa's series "If the Emperor had a text to speech device". The Emperor depicted in that series constantly swears, is eternally dissapointed, in perpetual agony, and frequently raging and ranting.

Partially Worthy

  • Fascism - The strawman that your opposition created about you is literally me.
  • Ingsoc - You may subjugate the weak, but in their luxury and brainwashing, the Inner Party grows weak as well.
  • Avaritionism - Your strong may succeed, but what is the purpose of strength if not to subjugate?
    • Own. Enrich myself. Be free. Desires are constantly increasing with the increase in the possibilities of their realization.
  • Hive-Mind Collectivism - You do establish sovereignty, but if every foe is alike, what weak is there to subjugate?
  • Kleptocracy - Why must you keep your strength a secret? Make your deception known to the world.
  • Oligarchy - If only you were as strong as me, but you're not so I cannot be your friend.
  • Nazism - You claim to be the master race and yet you lost?
  • Authoritarian Capitalism & National Capitalism - A moderate whose meekness makes him a weak foe.
  • Racial Nationalism & Ethnonationalism - You see differences between nations but people inside of your nation are different as well. You don't understand this and treat them equally.
  • Capitalism & Plutocracy - Yes, there is no unjust hierarchy, but living in luxury makes them weak foes.
  • Reactionary Socialism - A somewhat worthy foe whose weakness is compassion for the poor. How pitiful.
  • National Bolshevism - You're very similar to the one above but more aggressive and therefore more worthy.
  • State Liberalism - Another somewhat worthy foe that seems to have empathy for certain lower, pitiful classes. Or better, pretend to be.
  • Technocracy - You may support the rule of the mentally strong, but where is your physical strength?
  • Machiavellianism - You seem adept at deception and manipulation, but like the above, your lack of physical strength is pitiful.
  • Neoconservatism - You seem to focus too much on trivial things such as "diplomacy". At least, you're still a worthy foe.
  • Landian Accelerationism - A futuristic foe of formidable might similar to mine, unfortunately, our end goals are not fully on the same path. You want to have a potentially hedonistic future, I don't like it. But Smasher and using Hyper-Racism to make more powerful rulers and workers are based.
  • Fordism - I mean, you like competition and hierarchies, but I hate your tactics to make people weak. If we met, send me to islands, where most talented foes live.
  • Senatorialism - An unworldly foe that I have never seen in my entire existence... And you are also stronger than me, but I'm scared to admit it.
  • Crusadism & Jihadism - The aggressive and warlike elements are the only aspects of religion that I respect. But what do you mean that your goal is to protect the poor and weak?
  • Satanic Theocracy - Better than many other religions either way, you are just the other side of the coin of him. So I’ll CONQUER YOUR HELL!
  • Illuminatism - Why are you so secretive? Real rulers don't fear to reveal themselves to the masses.
  • Feudalism - Too moderate, but still better than many ideologies.
  • Manosphere - The ideal of hypermasculinity is good for promoting strength but many of you are weak degenerates.
  • State Atheism - A good candidate for a real-world version of Kratos but you need to lose weight. Otherwise, I will just slash that fat off you.
  • Ultranationalism - You should subjugate not only weaker nations but the weak inside of your nation as well.
  • Hobbessianism - One of my top philosophers of all time but you're still too tame. Still, I'll be your Leviathan.
  • Primalism - Law of jungle is good, but rejecting sapience means losing opportunities to become more powerful animal.
  • National Primitivism & Archeofuturism - Improved version of the above.
  • Esoteric Fascism - You could have been a worthy opponent for me, it's a shame that your mental quirkiness has weakened you into a helpless degenerate. So get out of my way, or I'll let you go see your Xeno friends!

Puny

  • Ochlocracy - Quantity before quality? Not a worthy foe.
  • Anarcho-Egoism & Anarcho-Nihilism - No gods? No kings? A life not worth living.
  • Communalism - Utopia of the weak, if this ever happens, it will quickly self-destruct.
  • Soulism - There is no such thing as an unjust hierarchy.
    • NO, because hierarchy is a man-made thing. And all overcomplicated and hierarchical things will inevitably collapse because universal laws love simplicity! Even stars and black holes will burn out and collapse because of Hawking radiation. Nothing is eternal in the material universe.
    • Life and strength are inverse to entropy and the belief that entropy will win is the thought process of cowards who can't even dream of power and think life is meaningless.
  • Anarcho-Primitivism - Why commit to using such rudimentary weaponry?
  • Anarcho-Pacifism - You insist on supporting "peace"? Just pathetic.
  • Radical Centrism - And you, instead, search "compromise" with the foe? Even more pathetic.
  • Mediocracy & Kakistocracy - Their purpose is to be punching bags for the strong.
  • Socialism & Welfarism - All beings ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL. Some are born strong, some with greater beauty, some are born into poverty, and others are born sick and feeble, but in birth and in upbringing, in the sheer scope of ability, every individual is inherently different. That is why people discriminate against one another, which is why there is a struggle, competition, and the unfaltering march of progress, while only the weak are left behind. There is nothing unnatural about inequality, but EQUALITY IS.
  • Posadism - Nuclear weapons are only allowed in cosmic scale matches!
  • Illegalism - You will always lose without organization, pathetic scum.
    • There is no point in winning a battle if you have nothing to steal after killing your enemy. Do you even know about combat pragmatism?
    • What makes you think I do not care about Combat Pragmatism? You just want an excuse to be a weak freeloader.
  • Communism & Anarchism - Ideologies of pathetic slaves who believe that they will be happy when they kill their masters and want to create a shitty "utopian" world of losers in which no one can have power and wealth.
  • Anarcho-Communism - You will never amount to anything, at most, you will be a minor inconvenience to any authority and forever a puppet of Machiavellians who want to use you against their enemies. You are an eternal pawn and will forever suffer the same fate, over and over and over again.
  • Insurrectionary Anarchism - Oh, these untermensch have taken up arms and are fighting for, what exactly? It does not matter, for I will gut you in a moment.
  • Ergatocracy - Literally dictatorship of the weak.
  • Fully Automated Gay Space Communism - Your ideology will never be possible, and if it even becomes one - it will be easy to collapse by using some commands to robots or just calling my Brother in arms. I doubt that degenerates will be able to prevent this. Adam Smasher and Imperium Marines could crush your space commune in a single glorious day.
