Necrocracy is an ideology that is ruled by a deceased former leader. An example of a Necrocracy is in North Korea and historically the chanka culture, in Peru. Necrocracy is usually an off-compass Gerontocracy.

Conceptions

Ceremonial necrocracy

The term necrocracy has been used to refer to a type of government in which a leader remains the head of state even after they died, akin to the role of the monarch in a ceremonial monarchy. An example of a ceremonial necrocracy includes the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in which Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il are given the title of eternal leaders (eternal president and eternal chairman respectively) of North Korea.

Rule through Will and Testament

The use of will and testament can be said to be an example (even if minor) of necrocracy, as a person dictates what should be done after they are dead. A notable example is ROC, where Dr. Sun Yat-Sen's Last Will and Testament (國父遺囑) influenced the 1947 constitution.. Currently in Taiwan, Sun's Last Will and Testament accompanies his portrait and the Flag of the Republic of China to be displayed during official events and in government buildings except for the Ministry of Defence, through the public reading of Sun's Last Will and Testament is no longer practiced.

Tradition as the democracy of the dead

According to the distributist writer G.K. Chesterton the usage of tradition within politics can be said to be the "democracy of the dead".

Tradition may be defined as an extension of the franchise [to vote]. Tradition means giving votes to the most obscure of all classes, our ancestors. It is the democracy of the dead. Tradition refuses to submit to the small and arrogant oligarchy of those who merely happen to be walking about. All democrats object to men being disqualified by the accident of birth; tradition objects to their being disqualified by the accident of death. Democracy tells us not to neglect a good man’s opinion, even if he is our groom; tradition asks us not to neglect a good man’s opinion, even if he is our father. I, at any rate, cannot separate the two ideas of democracy and tradition; it seems evident to me that they are the same idea. We will have the dead at our councils. The ancient Greeks voted by stones; these shall vote by tombstones. It is all quite regular and official, for most tombstones, like most ballot papers, are marked with a cross.

Rule of the undead

The most literal, and least possible conception of necrocracy. In such a system, power is concentrated within various types of undead creations such as zombies, skeletons, and creepers ghosts. It may be a whole faction of the undead, or a faction of mostly alive beings with a dead leader. An example of the former is Dracula's army from Castlevania, while an example of the latter is Imperium of Man from Warhammer 40k.

Personality

For the first design, Necrocracy is portrayed as a zombie, who has a taste for brains and runs for other ideologies.

For the second design, Necrocracy is portrayed as a ghost, scaring the others with a boo or in some cases a jumpscare. Anarcho-Egoism doesn't like spooks.

4. Draw a left eye, which is partially closed.
5. Draw a right eye, which is hanging out of its eyehole on a red string.

1. Draw a half-circle/half-oval with tears on the bottom
2. Fill in with white/grey or a translucent white/grey.
3. Add a golden crown with red jewels.
4. Draw in the eyes.
