Fictional Ideology
"The party would like to remind you this ideology has never existed" - Ingsoc
This article is about a fictional ideology and has no foundation in real life political movements.

Not to be confused with the non-fictional Libertarian Municipalism, South Asia Communalism and Marxism–Leninism

Communalism is an ideology that wants the complete collectivization of all property – private, personal, or public – that inhabits a far-left area outside the political compass.

Thomas More's Utopia

Utopia is a novel written by Thomas More. It tells a story about an island kingdom named Utopia and its inhabitants. On the island, the towns are made to have roughly equal populations. If any imbalance in population is detected, then the town’s population deviation is spread among the other towns. If there are too many people on the island, then those extra people will have to go to the mainland.

In the novel, people do not use locks for their doors. Additionally, houses are considered to be the common property of everyone in Utopia. In accordance with this belief, every 10 years, the citizens of Utopia rotate the ownership of their homes.

Jonestown/Peoples Temple

Jonestown was a Peoples Temple located in Guyana. Jonestown was essentially a cult, with Jim Jones being the cult leader. The cult involved making its members donate their personal property to the temple in exchange for basic necessities. In order to achieve greater control over the minds of his followers, Jim Jones manipulated Guyanese immigration policies in such a way so as to stop people from leaving the cult.

Anabaptists

The Anabaptists are a Christian denomination who have acquired a lot of the left-wing tendencies present in the Bible. Most significant among these beliefs is the belief that all of their followers should share their possessions with each other. This belief has shown through in the Münster rebellion, in which a group of radical Anabaptists in northern Germany attempted to form a new society based on sharing their newly collectivized property, regardless of whether it was public or private.

Amish communes

Personality and Behaviour

They love toothbrushes, and makes sure that everyone shares theirs. They are also incapable of using first person singular pronouns, and the only pronouns they can use are "We, Us, and Our". They are not to be confused with Libertarian Municipalism, who they share (heh) a name with.
