These ideologyballs inhabit the Authoritarian Left quadrant of the Political Compass. Their biggest issue of concern is economics, so while ideologies in this quadrant like most variants of Marxism–Leninism and Trotskyism are very much culturally left, some other ideologies like Longism and Left-Wing Nationalism tend to culturally centrist as they believe social issues are malleable and vanish when everyone has wealth, or in the case of Distributism, are outright right-wing culturally in their belief that economic collectivism needs social collectivism too. However, since they still emphasize left-wing economics the most, the non culturally left ideologies here are still counted as authleft. Most of the ideologies found in this quadrant are some form of socialist, such as Marxism–Leninism and Trotskyism, however some other such as Longism are in fact capitalist, advocating for typical leftist reforms of capitalism such as expansive social programs, strengthening unions, wealth redistribution, the works.
