Globalism (8values name: World), also known as Internationalism. It believes emphasizes diplomacy, compromise/cooperation, integration, and in its most extreme forms, an international world government.

Variants

Internationalism

Internationalism is a foreign policy that advocates for greater political and/or economic cooperation between countries. Internationalism differs from globalism because it doesn't necessarily advocate for mixing cultures, abolishing borders, or a world government. Internationalism as a foreign policy greatly varies, it can be peaceful or interventionist. Internationalism as a foreign policy is practiced by a wide ranges of political ideologies, like liberals, conservatives, or socialists.

Liberal Internationalism

Liberal Internationalism is a foreign policy doctrine that argues that international organizations should achieve multilateral agreements between states that uphold rules-based norms and promote liberal democracy through things like humanitarian aid or military intervention. It is defined by achieving global structures within international systems that are inclined towards promoting a liberal world order through things like global free trade, liberal economics, and liberal political systems. These international organizations would include institutions like NATO, EU, UN, and the IMF.

Environmental Globalization

Environmental Globalization is a form of globalization that coordinates environmental regulations and practices. Environmental Globalization is usually supported by non-governmental organizations and governments of developed countries, but opposes by governments of developing countries, which see pro-environmental initiatives as hindering their economic development. Examples of environmental globalization would be treaties like the Paris climate treaty.

History

Although the concept of globalism had been around much longer, the term itself was popularized in the United States in debates following WWII about how it should operate now that it was the most powerful nation on earth. The United States wanted to reform its allies in Europe and Asia, and later the world, into sharing its economic policies. Historically was led by Neoliberalism. Regarding left-wing perceptions, many Western social-liberals, leftists and anarchists tend to vaugely support globalism, seeing racism and discrimination as inherent to nationalism, and often promote (to some extent) removing cultural boundaries to promote further unity among working people. However, most left-wingers and anarchists outside of the west especially in developing nations or colonized lands tend to view the ideals of globalism as alternative imperialism and see national liberation and self-determination of colonized groups as more important. This has led to globalism often having to fight against numerous National-Liberation, Post-Colonial and/or Alter-Globalization movements throughout history.

Views

It supports international cooperation, free trade and a more powerful UN, with some variants even advocating for a united earth state.
